A man has been jailed for causing the death of a 79-year-old pedestrian by careless driving while impaired through drugs.Mechanic Godfread Housen (41) had taken cannabis before he crashed into Brian Sheldon on a crossing in Saxby Road, Melton.Mr Sheldon died in the Queen's Medical Centre, Nottingham, hours after being hit by Housen's Mitsubishi coupe.Housen, of Doctors Lane, Melton, was jailed for three years.
