A police officer was glassed in the face by a mentally ill man who had earlier burst into an elderly couple's home and attacked them.Shaun Toach, who suffers from paranoid schizophrenia, also kicked a second constable on the leg causing a ligament injury.Leicester Crown Court was told the incident began in the early hours of the morning on June 28 last year.Toach (24) knocked at the door of a home in Samson Road, New Parks, Leicester, where a married couple in their 80s were living.Read more:...
