A burglar has been jailed for two years after he was linked to the scene by his training shoe footprint.
Michael James, of no fixed address, appeared at Leicester Crown Court today to face a single charge of burglary.
He admitted breaking into his victim's home in Durban Road, Beaumont Leys, Leicester, in January this year, Leicestershire Police said today.
The court heard the 31-year-old stole a handbag and a set of car keys while his victim was asleep upstairs.
