A woman who derived "macabre pleasure" from trying to murder her lover by pouring acid on him as he slept has today been ordered to pay him £19,300 compensation.
Katie Leong, was ordered at Leicester Crown Court to pay the money to Daniel Rotariu after she cruelly poured half a litre of almost pure sulphuric acid over him, leaving him blind and severely disfigured.
