A witness told a murder trial jury how two men described forcefully beating up Brendan Mason in Leicester's Abbey Park. The 16-year-old girl's video-recorded police interview was shown at Leicester Crown Court, before she was cross-examined in the witness box, from behind a screen. Mr Mason, 23, an avid Leicester City fan, from Glenfield, was found seriously injured lying face down in the park by groundsman at 7.40am on Tuesday July 5. He died in hospital shortly afterwards.
